Unfortunately I can't speak the Roma language, but in a globalized world where cultures and peoples are increasingly mixing, the language remains a unifying element. This is also a non-racist view of nationality through language, anti-racist and anti-imperialist patriotism.

Sounds like a Slavic/French mix. The original accent, now lost, was probably like that of modern Hindus before the Gypsies left the subcontinent. A shift in accent also happened to the Catalans, whom, having been ruled by the Spaniards for so long, now speak Catalan with a Castilian accent!

I dont think they were ever comparable to modern hindus, maybe to ancient hindus, the language is middle indo-aryan not modern indo-aryan....

And second, the roma are 1.500 years out of india, there is dna evidence they were even 500 years in britain before commonly recorded or thought, i think the roma maybe were around before what is commonly thought like 500 years or so, maybe they were even in the ancient world? In Rome? Some author claims that and found evidence, i have to find out who he is, and the source, and his works, then i could post it. But I saw it on a facebook group, on first sight it looks like afrocentrism type of myths, but there is really dna evidence that roma were before their recorded arrival in britain and who knows how long in other parts of europe... Nonsense, everybody in India speaks with the retroflex accent and have for millenia to THIS DAY, so, it's impossible that the Gypsies were miraculously immune while living amongst them, and I was discussing language, not race, although shared dna must have also occured.
