For non lazy people and those who don't think that everything should be given to them by default, it's always more or less ok times (as they don't search for any kind of "Golden age"). I don't count those who cannot maintain themselves, got ill, old people etc they should be maintained by relatives, children. I've noticed that people who are busy don't even have time to think about some social justice nonsense.

The irony being that the aforementioned period was still mostly Tory governments, except for 1945-51 and 1964-70. Would MacMillan and Douglas-Home even recognise what the Conservative Party has become?
