I don't know if you guys know but probably Blondie will, that last charge from Helm's Deep was obviously inspired by Nikola Zrinski/Zrinyi charge on Ottomans in Sziget battle.
In Szigetvar outer fortress was taken as well (like in LOTR) and Zrinski and his men rode out trough the bridge to their deaths and glory.

Zrinski was a Croat count, lady! He is national hero in both Croatia and Hungary. Even Hungarian military academy is named after him. Unfortunately we are poor fucks so no movie was ever made (except LOTR ). However we have a a Opera about it.

In the books, the army of Isengard was different. Just 50% was uruk, others were dunlendings, half-orcs, wargs and weaker isengard-orcs. Uruks did not use crossbow or ballista, they had longbow.
