I think MagicalM has significant Danube Swabian ancestry. Thats probably why Im not included in the Hungarian category.

He has some German, but I don't think he is as Swabian as you are. He always identified as Hungarian.

Hungarians are not homogenous and almost all of them have recent German or Slavic ancestry. Some minor Jewish is common as well.

Hey guys, I remembered that MagicalM (I always think of him as "Mike" in my head lol), detailed once his background, I was able to dig it up..

What differs from many other Hungaian members is that I am quite northern-western shifted on one side and southern shifted on the other. I do come out as Hungarian on many other calculators though. K15 and EU test seems to get a little confused with my results with all the different small amount of ethnicities. What I know from the south slavic part is that my grandmother was a Hungarian minority in central Serbia married to my German- Hungarian grandfather and a Austrian grandfather. Other part of my family comes from Nograd Megye (Bercel). The names from my family are Hungarian and Austrian and German. Each gedmach calculator show very differntly. I will add some more. Would be interesting to see another ones perspective.
