In Pljevlja declared Serbs are still more numeruos than declared Montenegrins. Same goes for Berane, Herceg Novi and some other places. Pljevlja Serbs and Montenegrins mostly have origin from Old Herzegovinan tribes (especially from Drobnjaci and Kriči), and in smaller number from Brda and Old Montenegrin tribes. For example actor Miša Janketić was Pljevljak, his ancestors settled to one village near Pljevlja from tribe Lješnjani near Skadar lake in Old Montenegro.

In the late AH period Zemun had around 16.000 inhabitants. About 40% were German speakers, about 35% Serbian speakers, about 14% Croatian speakers, about 6% Hungarian speakers, and obout 5% other.
Today in Zemun live over 140.000 people and vast majority are Serbs, mostly with origin from Croatia and BiH.
