There is still some time to go, but many are already planning their summer vacations. I would ask you not to come to Andalusia, we don't want foreigners here, you have the cold and horrible Portuguese beaches to choose from, have you maybe thought about Galicia, in the summer mornings their beaches have a thick fog, you won't be able to see who is lying on the towel next to you. You have the sad Canary Islands or the Balearic Islands full of drunken tourists, you have so many options to choose from, it is not necessary to think of Andalusia as a destination, I understand that it is a first class destination and it is like being on top of the world unlike other much more dirty and sad places, but if they come we will have to treat them great; If they do not come it will be much better, it is in their hands, but it would be better if they did not come, they are welcome, but consider other possibilities and if you can avoid Andalusia.
Thank you very much!

I'm sorry to tell you that our cold, horrible beaches are more renowned than those in Andalusia, which are far from being the best or most scenic beaches in Spain, by any means. For some reason the Algarve is more reputable and expensive as a beach destination than anywhere in Andalusia. One of the downsides, however, is that we won't be able to catch a glimpse of buff Gallop on the beach here, only in Andalusia. So, there's that.

I don't see the point of all this, there is no need to denigrate Portugal to enhance the value of Andalusia, (nor the other way around) and even less so in something as "beaches", both have things of much more value to offer than "beaches".

No one is slandering the beaches of Andalusia, so there is no need to be hypersensitive. I am not even a beach guy. Nevertheless, it can't be defamation when what I've said is true. Andalusia isn't even the typical beach destination in Spain and I can not be blamed for having a better knowledge of Spain than some of the Spaniards on the forum have of Portugal (and sometimes even Spain). There are more scenic beaches in "cold" Santander and Galiza. As for the Algarve:
The Algarve Wins ‘Europe’s Leading Beach Destination’ At World Travel Awards 2023
For the tenth time, the Algarve, in southern Portugal, has been voted as “Europe's Leading Beach Destination” at the 2023 World Travel Awards. No other destination has won this award, which honors travel and tourism, so many times.

Gallop's action is a little suicidal demonstration of pride, but the reality is that Andalusia and other Spanish regions need tourism.
For now Gallop, we have to swallow our pride and put up with the tourists. The Portuguese partly share this same thing with us, so I don't see the point of messing with them.

Do not believe it, in the Canary Islands the enormous amount of tourists that are arriving and the purchase of houses by foreigners from the rest of Europe e.t.c. is impoverishing the local population who can hardly aspire to buy a house because the prices have skyrocketed.
Malaga city is also seeing an increase in the number of foreigners who have come to live in the city, telecommuting has increased this fact, also have in some populations with colonies of Finns, are seeing what can happen and are not too happy, as uncontrolled and excessive tourism plus the purchase of houses by foreigners just impoverish the local population. Even in the city of Malaga there are already graffiti rejecting foreigners and can also be seen in Barcelona, Ibiza, Valencia, Basque Country.
The European Union has already destroyed Spanish industry, now it intends to destroy agriculture and farming, and that Morocco will supply us, so go on vacation to Morocco, in Spain soon will not be well received by the local people.
