What do you think about older men dating significantly younger women

- I don't care what consenting adults do as long as it's not grossly immoral. I'm not their mom.

- I'm tired of seeing women who are in their mid 20's but date losers in their 30's and 40's getting called victims, they are grown ass adults who are choosing that relationship of their own free will.

- I do think most of these relationships are more transactional than love-oriented (man wants young arm candy, woman wants established and safe man), but in the grand scheme of things, this isn't the worst thing people could be doing.

- My personal opinion is that large age gap relationships are kind of gross and I'd never be in one, but the world does not revolve around my personal opinion, and I don't judge complete strangers by it. I married someone a bit younger than me.

It honestly depends. "Inappropriate" is a weird word, too, since it's not really morally wrong if two people who are both established adults are dating... even if the gap is quite large and people, including myself, think it's odd and uncomfortable. I do think there has to be something a bit off about a person if they are willing to entertain a long term serious relationship with someone who is in a significantly different part of life than they are, ie. someone about to hit their middle ages with someone fresh out of college. Like what do you even have in common at that point? But of course it's all subjective and also depends a lot on the personalities and motivations of the people involved.

Personally thats too much for me, but it was common back in the day. Thats around the age gap my grandparents had with each other and they loved each other very much

If I really had to generalize, I'd say it probably gets weird beyond 10-15 years. This is assuming the younger person is over 25. I think fresh out of high school or even college-aged people should not be in age gap relationships because they barely know how to be functional adults on their own.

I started dating Stears when I was 24. He was 35. But since he is Aspie, he is like a child trapped in grown man's body. He is extremelly emotionally immature and child like to this day, and I am too. Maybe that's why we never felt the age gap.

It's a very case by case thing to me. I don't get the vibe that Stears was using your age for his benefit in any way. You two seem perfectly fine.

Now I think of it, I age mentally way slower than my body. In many ways my brain is same as it was at age 16.

@ 16 many considered me old, I guess I am young now.
