I don't think Britain has a pigmentation-class link like other countries (including to an extent Colombia itself) LOL.

I tend to think upper class looks darker than lower classes.

There is no class division in phenotypes in Belgium, as far as I know.

But you seem to be inferring that the reason why my mother thought of the British as being blonder than is actually the case is not because of the psychological effect I suggested, but because British people abroad tend to be posher and thus blonder than many of the ones found in Britain itself.

A friend of mine who isn't especially into anthro stuff visited Egypt, and he told me that the people there were on the whole a lot lighter-skinned than he expected and (to use his words, not mine) look more like Spaniards than Indians.

Kosovo Albanians are lighter than their genetics and geography sugessts. Ylla types are one of standard there.

They are much lighter than Greeks and lighter than Macedonian Slavs too I am pretty sure.

Latvians and Lithuanians are darker than their hyper northern genetics. Despite being more northern, they are notably less blond than Scandinavians, Estonians, and probably even some groups of Russians and north Dutch.

I read even today Norman descended Brits richer than other Brits on avarage.
