Mexico City has more flights across the Americas (especially, unsurprisingly, the US itself) and to Northeast Asia. Sao Paulo-Guarulhos has more flights to Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Of note is how neither airport has any direct flights to Oceania, South Asia or Southeast Asia.

Can't say anything about Sao Paolo but old MEX is decent airport. Didn't use new NLU yet.
