Hard to say. The very strong alpinid influence gives the French a particular phenotype.
Even between the south of France and Spain, France stands out with a really strong Alpine influence.
Northern Italy is generally closer to France than the other two countries mentioned phenotypically.

One has to look at the major phenotypes in the indigenous or native French population, in order to have a proper «*racial*» picture.
France major phenotypes in terms of rank :
1) Western Alpinid
2) Subnordid (Nordid + Western Alpinid) (Centered in the north)
3) Mediterranean ( Atlanto-Mediterranean, Gracile Mediterranean, Alpo-Mediterranid, Dinaricized - Mediterranid) (Centered in the south)
4) Dinarid (Dinarid Proper)
5) Borreby (Cromagnid)
6) Nordid
