Noroi - The Curse from Japan is pretty good, albeit the beginning (the first 60 minutes to be precise, but it lasts 2 hours) is admittedly boring & tedious. If not for that I'd rate it among the best horrors I've watched, it's a mockumentary.
It is hardly gory, but is scary.
The film focuses on Masafumi Kobayashi, a paranormal researcher who has produced a series of books and documentaries on supernatural activity around Japan. During the process of making a documentary titled The Curse, Kobayashi disappeared after his house burnt down and his wife Keiko was found dead in the ruins. The aforementioned documentary begins to play, shown mostly through the recordings of Kobayashi's cameraman Miyajima.

The original "Night of the Living Dead." It changed the nature of horror films.
Romero was a wasted talent. He made two great films "Night of the Living Dead" and "Dawn of the Dead" but everything else was garbage. He would constantly make the same mistake: putting the "message" ahead of the story.

I have 3 favorite horror movies, they are from Asia with English subtitles. Reincarnation, The Eye 2, and The Eye.
