Sad to hear that. They did the same in eastern Hungary, near Debrecen.
Of course Serbia is not alone, their closest ally is Russia. I think the russian, central european and other balkanite economic realtions are enough for Serbia, no need to welcome the CCP. I would also support a more stronger Russia and russian economy. Unfortunatelly the russian economic influence has started to replace by the chinese in the region and its not good.

It seems a completely subservient way of welcoming a head of state. You only have to contrast it with the way the French received him a few days ago.

Does it even matter? Cringe Macron who pretends to be Napoleon with his mysteries of sending troops somewhere, being constantly butt hurt of being thrown out of Africa which is politically occupied by China and Russia. Macron is a typical political pygmy, almost irrelevant in his EU decadent hypocrisy.
See, I'm not a fan of Xi or someone similar, but this person and his decisions matter. Majority of EU politicians decisions do not matter and even the fact do they exist or not.

Yes, it matters. It's an easy way to see that a state is feeble or has no international projection whenever it is necessary to stop the entire country just because of the visit of a foreign head of state, albeit a major one. Your whining about Macron (another major player) attests to that since you seem very concerned about what he has to say or not, even though I just gave France as an example.
