Any tips to start a relationship with anyone?

Hi, i was thinking that i could finally try again to be in a relationship (might be somewhat helpful for me too) but the last time i've been in one was 5 years ago, i don't how can start or seek for one i'm afraid to say.

I was hoping for anyone to share any tips, i don't know any other place where i can ask about this.

Yes i do have a job, i don't go to the gym, and my only hobbys are genealogy, videogames, learning history but i started to find some interest in PC stuff. but i don't do to much in general i'm a somewhat boring person i'd say.

If there is a gym nearby that teaches judo, take up Judo classes again. Maybe you'll meet people there who have sisters you can date. Or try doing your own grocery shopping and pick up a nice lady that way. Or go to a library. I met a man in the grocery store a long time ago. That won't happen again because I get my groceries delivered now. And I was picked up in the library once. Went on one date with him. We saw the Matrix (movie). Go to art galleries. I was picked up in an art gallery. I had no intention of meeting anyone at any of those places, to be clear. Let me see, where else? Go to a park(s). Guys tried to pick me up in parks. I have a friend on another forum who goes to exhibits and meets people at embassies in Washington, D.C.


edit: I have another idea for you. You already have a dog so take her out for walks. You can mingle with other dog owners or meet someone who likes and pets your dog.

I don't recommend that. I've never been involved with a co-worker or a classmate. It would be disruptive. I heard workplace romances are common but I frown on that.

Actually, I was attacked once by a senior dental student I was paired with for one class and he attempted to rape me. I was so upset I quit going to class. He was Chinese. This was when I attended Kriser Dental in Manhattan and there was a water main break affecting the subway so I accepted a ride home from him and he jumped me. Luckily I had my "Fort Knox" jeans on and he couldn't get them off. I couldn't move because of the seat belt. It was awful.

I agreed to see him another time so he would let me go but I never spoke to him again. He was married with kids.



That was when I was taking the dental assistant course.
