Economic prosperity and security are important without a doubt, but if it is in exchange for living in an oppressive environment with a government that does not offer guarantees that your freedom or physical integrity will be respected as a citizen, where any type of opposition, dissent or criticism of the regime is susceptible to being repressed and where the foundations have been established so that there is no hope for peaceful change...
About the economic improvement, we can talk about how much immigrants' remittances have contributed to economic improvement.

But the thing is that many of those middle to upper class professional Venezuelans in Spain emigrated there when Venezuela was in its worse moment (6-10 years ago). I don't doubt some might still be emigrating there, but that's the effect of having some family member(s) already living in Spain. Nowadays, unlike in the recent past, when only middle to upper class Venezuelans were emigrating, now many lower class Venezuelans (many of them delinquent) have been emigrating (thanks god, not to Spain), and that is being good for Venezuela. I have hopes that the emigration of middle class educated Venezuelans slows down, and eventually many of them eventually return back to Venezuela. Not because I live in Venezuela or have plans to live in there again, but I would like things to get better in the country I was born and grew up, and that it turns out being a nicer and more visitable country, because I would like to visit it, and see it doing well.

Venezuelan Youtuber Ey Graffe showing how nice is life nowadays in the cities of San Antonio de Los Altos, Carrizal and Los Teques, all of them satellite cites of Caracas, located in the area known as "Los Altos Mirandinos" (highlands of Miranda state), few miles southwest from Caracas:

Venezuelan female youtuber from Lecherias, Anzoategui, showing the city of Puerto La Cruz (Anzoategui) nowadays, with lots of commercial activity. Besides the intense commercial activity, she also mentions that the country is safer than years back:
This youtuber was living in Argentina, where she emigrated with her husband in 2016 (when Venezuela was in its worst moments, with scarcity, very high levels of insecurity, etc). They were doing OK in Argentina, but decided to return to Venezuela after 6 years living in Argentina. Their decision was made because of a combination of reasons: in part because Venezuela has improved a lot (even admitting that it still has many problems and there are still lots of things that need to improve), but also because they had left family in Venezuela and wanted their Argentinian born baby girl to grow up around her grandparents; also because they still have properties in Venezuela, while although in Argentina they were doing OK (they even had good jobs in there), there was nothing in there that attached them to that country to stay there forever (like for example, they were paying rent and didn't own an apartment or anything back in Argentina). They admit that public hospitals in Venezuela nowadays are still horrible, with lack of medicines and supplies, but if you have a private medical insurance (which they have) you can get attended in decent private and well supplied clinics (when in the worst years of the crisis, you couldn't even count with that).
This is a good example, among many others that I have seen in Youtube, of Euro-leaning middle to upper class Venezuelans that are returning to Venezuela, for those who claim that Venezuela is still suffering a serious drain of its more educated middle to upper class population, lol
