Also Fico is not an angel. The west could have just corner him, they surely know a lot of nasty stuff about him and he would have started to sing an Euroatlantic song quite quick. Similar to what was done with Borisov and Peevski here in Bulgaria.

Probably it's a punishment for misbehaving and reminder to others. Now Western powers actively try to overthrow govt and prime minister of Georgia which does not have any desire to become cannon fodder of the West against Russia following politics of own interests. Ministers of foreign affairs of Estonua, Latvia and Lithuania literally lead the potential coup in foreign state, what a lunacy.
