There are many intelligent religious people. No will argue Rabbis are low IQ. They're selected within their community to be Rabbis because of their high IQ.

Belief in religion has mostly to do with other factors that have nothing to do with intelligence. It's more dependent on a person's psychological make up and life experience (such as their life in a religious community; how much was religion part of their upbringing?).
