I voted similar genes and in the case of Romanians I think they really are more like Bulgarians and other Balkaners. But many Romanians think they are somehow like Italians, French, Iberians. Some will even think they have a connection with Latin Americans, no joke. And it's not just because of language in their minds, since in school they tell you bullshit story that Romanians are descended from real Romans from Roman Italy and from Dacians. They have no idea they have little to no Italic blood and a lot of Slavic blood.

Voted genes this is not possible to simplyfy with just genetics or language. For example, we have Balkanites and Caucasians in our nation, accepted as regular parts of us but genetically different (a little bit, though) so historical legacy should be taken into account beside these.

I don't really care about that . I like my Balkan blood ( Palo balkan plus slavic) more then language anyways
