Some of the reasons why Yugoslavia failed were significant cultural and economic differences between parts of Yugoslavia caused by rule of foreign powers. Macedonia and Slovenia were two extremes in that. Macedonia was 500+ years under the Ottomans, and Slovenia 1100+ years part of German world (Frankish Empire, Holy Roman Empire abd Austria).

Without Yugoslavia Slovenians in present day Slovenia would be probably germanized as Slovenians in Austrian Carinthia. Carinthia had significant Slovenian population in not so distant past, today they are Austrians. Klagenfurt was originally Celovec, Villach was Beljak, Graz was Gradec etc. Every city and town in Carinthia have older Slovenian name. Carantania state of the Slavs who are ancestors of Slovenians was more on the territory of modern Austria than of modern Slovenia. Carantania fell under the Germanics in 8-9th century.

I agree, Slovenians were too alien for Yugoslavia.

Even to me as a Croat who grew up in one of least Balkan parts of Croatia Slovenes are too alien.

Montenegro have anti-Serbian political elite and deep state since 1945. when communists took power in Yugoslavia. Current Montenegrin prime minister which 15 days ago announced that Montenegro will vote for resolution is declared Serb or at least he was until recently, even his name is typical for Serbia Serbs and not for Montenegrins/Serbs of Montenegro.
In Podgorica for days are protests of Serbs and pro-Serbian Montenegrins against that shameful decision of Montenegrin government.

Thats pure shame i would ban all Montenegrins who came to Serbia in last 100 years from obtaining Serbian citizenship, regardless how they feel ethnicaly. No CEO positions in public companies, no participation in political life. Best they can do is what Bangladeshis do now, bus drivers.

Not only for me. Iran did not recognize Kosovo and it is more serious thing than this retarded resolution. You can say Iran did not recognize Kosovo because of huge Azeri minority in Iran which have separatist tendencies and not because of simpathies for Serbia or international law. Yes, but there are some other countries which have problems with separatism in own yard and they recognized Kosovo.

Kosovo is created by USA who have Bondsteel there and thats about it really. They wont recognise fake mini states created by their enemy. Kosovo became the first Muslim-majority territory to recognise Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

I don't think that way, all my preferences are based on personal experiences, which were in case of Montenegrins catastrophic
