I think it's the other way around as I said - that European Jews have Sicilian admixture, or many of them may have been Sicilian converts to Judaism during Roman times. This makes sense genetically and given the historically large Jewish population in Calabria and Sicily.

I think there could be some truth to this. Sicilian Jews could have contributed to the Ashkenazi & some additional ones may even have joined historic Ashkenazi communities after expulsion. This might explain partially the small North African component you usually find in Ashkenazi which they could have gotten through Sicily? Here are a few maps I found:

The North African segment may also be from when the Jews were in Egypt, in the Bible.

Is Maritime Neolithic another way of saying Levantine/Phoenician?

Even N. Europeans have a little of it, so my best guess would be that it's a mix of prehistoric Neolithic migrations from the Levant + further migrations from the Levant (e.g. Phoenician, also possibly via Jewish, Muslims)

The Caucasus and Anatolian Neolithic scores would represent a population akin to Armenians or going back to more ancient groups, people like the Hittites, who would have come to Sicily during the Neolithic.
