My great grandparents used to live close enough to the Sioux on their farm in South Dakota to hear the drums one hundred years ago now.

The type A blood is interesting, if it is correct in its prediction.

Thanks a lot! A really excellent video based on the files which I sent you!

I like the introduction part of the video which pays respect to Sioux history!

    Edit:

I tried to replicate the same model which Andrei proposed using G25 coordinates, the result is similar:

My DNA Origin analysis for 16 EUR (you get 2 reports examining ancestry from 2114 regions, 190 countries): https://www.exploreyourdna.com/DNAOrigin.aspx

This analysis is not based on G25 but on ADMIXTURE. And it has more regions than any other DNA test!

So they are about 37% ANE and around 63% Paleolithic North-East Asian.

And also they are about 59% descended from the very first wave of Paleo-Amerindian settlers and 41% from a later wave.

I think it is interesting that both of them scored high for odds of alcoholism.

And we know that alcoholism is one of problems affecting Native Americans.

And is there any myth about Sioux origins in your family? Apparently it's common among white Americans.

Yeah but such myths are mostly about Cherokee ancestors or Blackfeet ancestors (the latter among African-Americans, I think).

I'm not sure why are these two tribes so "popular".

Not the Sioux, but yes there was a myth perpetuated that we have Cherokee, from another set of great grandparents. They lived in Indian territories in Oklahoma. It turned out to be disproven. If there is a native, it must be so far back as to have too little contribution to show up in our DNA results.
