30 new unofficial samples from the Lusatian Culture

Found this on a Polish blogpost, supposedly these are the haplogroups of 30 Lusatian Culture samples from Papowo Biskupie dated 1045–752 BC.

That‘s a lot of U5. Modern “Lusatians” have more H.

The whole discussion is happening in the comment section. These samples were discovered in 2024 so I expect we will see the full paper soon. Really hoping for autosomal results, as we have only 6 Lusatian samples so far, and these are outliers from Silesia and Ukraine.

I gave ChatGPT these mtDNA in precent and asked him to compare it to European countries and find the best match. His answer was :

2. Lithuania
3. Latvia

5. Ukraine

That‘s a lot of U5. Modern “Lusatians” have more H.

I would be suprised if it was elsewise. U5 is typical Corded Ware haplogroup.
