I excluded some samples that I judged as clearly or at least probably mixed (judging certainly or wrongly, I don't know, but instead of checking them, I thought it best to simply dismiss them on suspicion).

I have excluded medieval Italian, which I believe to be very Germanic or Celto-Germanic; I excluded the Vikings from Russia; I excluded the Finno-Baltics from Estonia; I excluded the Visigoths of Andalusia.

I have separated the Scythians from the "Paleo-Balkans" group. I thought I'd put the Scythians separately, but there's something odd about the Scythian – the Scythian sample is closer than Paleo-Balkan, Germanic, Slavic, and even closer than Basque! This is very strange, and I think it can only be an effect similar to what occurs with my frequent "Canarian" score: a mix that "pulls" the Scythian for me. Of the samples I found I didn't want to take the Mongolian one, because I wanted to include a Mongolian sample, I tried with a Scythian from Moldova and one from Hungary, but I think these must have something Slavic and Mediterranean. I simply used a Persian sample instead of Scythian, I have no idea when he existed.



Basque and Berber are modern. I know that this can change the result, feel free to remove them. I consider them to be fairly homogeneous and Berber is relatively distant to me.

There are some redundancies, I kept the Turkic, but I wanted to include the Khazars as well.

I increased the broad ethnicities covering other areas of Eurasia, also North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. I have included a sample from South India thinking about the gypsy influence of many centuries in Europe.

Finally I made average samples of the rest.
