It isn't. This is coherent with their ancestry, Iron Age models aren't going to work out for Palestinians *unless they are Palestinian Christians, that's relevant to them since a great deal of their ancestry is Levant-Iron Age, It's especially relevant for Jews since Judaism is at it's earliest late Bronze Age - Iron Age culture. Palestinians (Muslims) require an 8th century model following Islamic conquests and the culmination of their identity coalesced well into the Mamluk period. Anything else is going to be overfit (like Imperial Roman samples).

Thats not true at all, Palestinians have significant Levantine ancestry with some Arabian and Egyptian influence. They also show a very strong link to the ancient Israelites.

Ancient Israelites, *the leaked samples* turned out to have a Canaanite profile, an Anatolian profile or an equal mix of both, so Western Jews have a 50 - 65 continuity of ancient Israelites over Palestinians regarding their 50 - 65 East Med AKA Roman Levant. Palestinians on the other hand have at best 40 East Med, if you included Egypt, but personally I wouldn't consider Egypt to be "East Med" so a conservative 22.2 East Med would be in place.
