example, my mom, just tested her, see her Eurogenes K13 results:
1) "real" one (with her actual tested kit):
North_Atlantic 26.28%
Baltic 28.07%
West_Med 16.12%
West_Asian 13.19%
East_Med 12.36%
Red_Sea 1.32%
South_Asian 0.30%
East_Asian -
Siberian 1.39%
Amerindian 0.75%
Oceanian 0.22%
Northeast_African -
Sub-Saharan -
2) with a specific phasing tool online - I think I even paid for it, and it phased it using my kit and my dad's, so I expected it to be closer to the actual tested kit above (see how inflated are South Asian, East Asian, Sub Saharan, to the point that I was convinced she has recent exotic ancestry):
North_Atlantic 21.72%
Baltic 24.70%
West_Med 15.91%
West_Asian 11.68%
East_Med 12.51%
Red_Sea -
South_Asian 3.42%
East_Asian 2.50%
Siberian 0.99%
Amerindian 0.57%
Oceanian 0.54%
Northeast_African 0.50%
Sub-Saharan 4.95%
3) with the GEDMatch phasing tool, again, using me and dad's kits (both tested with 23andme), for which I expected a result closer to the "real" one as well
North_Atlantic 25.72%
Baltic 32.13%
West_Med 18.67%
West_Asian 10.82%
East_Med 12.66%
Red_Sea -
South_Asian -
East_Asian -
Siberian -
Amerindian -
Oceanian -
Northeast_African -
Sub-Saharan -

GEDmatch parental phasing seems to work well when phasing against two parents. If you are only phasing against one parent, one of the resulting kits will typically be very noisy.
If you phase your kit against both of your parent's kits, 2 new kits should result:
1) One kit that represents the admix that you inherited from your father
2) A second kit that represents the admix that you inherited from your mother
Give that a shot, it should work okay. Remember, the resulting kits are based on 50% of your parent's DNA - so the phased kit may vary a little from the actual test kit.
Also, GEDmatch ain't perfect![]()
