Default Currently working on a Central Europe + neighbouring regions detailed genetic heatmap.

I am working on a central European genetic heatmap.
I got tired of all the bad genetic heatmaps out there, built on unreliable samples. Thats why I started a project where I collect gedmatch samples (K36 or g25 coordinates) from central European regions. The import part being that each of my samples NEEDS to have at least all great grandparents from the same microregion (depending on area, with a max distance of 10-30km between them) and even for the next two generations, the distance cannot excede 50 km. This ensures that my samples are actually representative regional clusters, and not like with almost all online calculators, based on super rough samples in which only the tested person gives their birth area.

Currently I've started with Austrian samples, moved on to Slovenia and now started with southern Germany. But I am looking for all kinds of places including: Germany, Austria, Czechia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Hungary, Northern Croatia, Poland, Northern Italy, Eastern France, Belgium, Denmark, The Netherlands, plus all kinds of bordering regions.

So if you or someone you know fullfills the requirements of all great grandparents from a small area within the regions, feel free to reach out to me Click image for larger version.

If you just want to have your g25 resutls run through my map calculator and want to see where you land, I can do that for you, just comment or message me

Interesting project! Yes, I have all great grandparents from a small area.
My DNA Origin analysis for 16 EUR (you get 2 reports examining ancestry from 3012 regions, 226 countries): https://www.exploreyourdna.com/DNAOrigin

This analysis is not based on G25 but on ADMIXTURE. And it has more regions than any other DNA test!

Transylvania (+Szekelyfold, Maramures, Partium, and even Banat) and Bukovina in Romania are usually considered Central Europe - they've been part of Hungary and Austria respectively.

(while Moldova region in Romania is considered Eastern Europe and Wallachia (Oltenia, Muntenia, Dobrudja, i.e. southern Romania) are considered Balkans)
