As I've relayed on here for years, there is no such thing as the British Isles or British in a genetic sense, it is merely part of a continuum with continental NW Europe. Most of the ancestors of the English were continental Europeans 2000 years ago. Only Insular Celt nations (a minority of British people) form a distinct cluster from continental Europe, as being mostly native to the Isles 2000+ years ago.
