Hmm, Barreldriver links to the same blog post. I got the loc list from the bottom of the blog post. Apparently it is a loc list for some kind of dual ancestry analysis. Not quite sure what is it but it would explain the abnormalities I saw. up

And yes, I also ran a dual ancestry analysis with the same samples as on the first plot. However, I didn't make use of geographic coordinates in this case, largely because the results look a bit too tight for most samples when I do this, and thus aren't as much fun. The newer one from June 12 is a single plot instead of dual though. For the data sheet relevant to both single plots from June (one with South Central Asians and one without click both "here" links in the paragraph between the pictures of the plots), the link at the very bottom of the post is for a dual plot but did not do the geographic coordinates I think .

Forgot to add, seems the run without the South Central Asians gives a more accurate geographic location for many of the project members, especially for my neighbor and possible cousin UK42 and myself. The one without SC Asians has me in Essex, England with UK42 not far away, the one with SC Asians has both UK42 and I within a very close range in the Netherlands.

For someone with no Scandinavian ancestry at all, I'm pretty close to the last on the list. He/she is 63.7% and I am 61.54%.


I don't understand why there aren't more people posting their DNA results. For a European forum with I guess hundreds or thousands of members, there are less than a dozen people, or less than half a dozen, posting DNA results. That is baffling.
There should be at least a hundred people here.
But then again there aren't that many people in the Eurogenes Project.


I don't know where my approx 1% each of East Asian, South Asian, and Africa is coming from.
