To be Liberal-democrat you need to have a strong local tradition first not rely on foreign aid and secret missions with terrorist nations. Liberal democracy comes from very rich intellectual people who have some thing to show as their own so they are being liberal in their though process. How can some one like you (newspaper and chips seller) be liberal democrat ? Wake up. you can be socialist.

Nobody forces you to die for turkishness. But accepting who you are, whether turk or non turk, is not the same thing like beeing nationalist. I know many of that kind of guys who claim the same, they sometimes more fascistic or the same as nationalist(btw not even that is always fascistic). Thanks god it isnt so bad in turkey like germany. Beeing proud of germany or just hoisting german flag is ultra right ideology for many backwarded guys. Racism and nationalism/patriotism must be distinguished.

What do you think about the reign of the Shah before the revolution? And do you think that Iran needs its own Atatürk and would you support the secularization of Iran the hard way? I think Iran is a beautiful country and would like to hear the opinion of an Iranian.

It seems many Iranians really miss the old Iran prior the revolution. I must say that I'm still conflicted because I have read that only the higher class of Iran had this freedom and wealth, ehich is often shown in videos about pre-Islamic Iran. My impression is that the diaspora Iranians and the youth are very 'nostalgic' and (sometimes extremely) liberal minded. Whereas, the elderly and 40+ year olds are pro Islamic Republic and very conservative. I truely hope the best for the people of Iran. Would love to visit one day.
