Red Badge of Courage
Also a good book. I think the first serious book I read.
The most decorated American soldier during WW2 (perhaps in any US war) Audie Murphy plays the role of the main character.
There aren't many US Civil War films.
Glory
Red Dawn (the original... not that shitty remake)
Because of Smaland's retarded belief that the Russian government plans on claiming Alaska by force whenever I think of this movie I'll think of him. He ruined the film for me. We all know how I feel about retardation.
Interesting fact: Walter from The Big Lebowski is partially based on Red Dawn's director John Milius. Milius also co-wrote and directed Conan the Barbarian.
Rules exist for a reason.
As always the Coen brothers make a great film: The Big Lebowski. The only Coen brothers films I haven't enjoyed were the one they made with Tom Hanks that had all that gospel music and the one with the three dudes who escape from a chain gang.
Speaking of Chain gangs...
I'm a Fugitive from a Chain Gang
Based on a memoir

The Wraith
Repo Man
The trailer sucks for the film, and so I post this bad ass scene. If I was to make a film it'd probably turn out like Repo Man.
Crumb
The great documentary on Robert Crumb.
