The point was that Swedes of Finns (or Norwegians etc.) will not do that. If you would go to Stockholm (or Helsingfors) and ask local people: Are here some 50% of people blonds? ... they would laugh and denied that.

That will not mean that here (above/around Baltic Sea) would not be much more blonds vs other parts/countries in Europe. So that is correct. We do not care will we have 20% of blonds or 50% of blonds. For us it is enough to know that we have them more than anyone or anywhere else. In our eyes first one is still much more close to be right (who should be called blonds). So it is others who will want to calculate some brunettes as blonds. Ours and theirs own. This put me thinking, the next might opposite mean something to someones: Will they have 10 - 15% of blonds or pure zero % of blonds.

If you someway will try to estimate the possible total numbers of blond people in Baltic Sea area, then you can easily simplify & minimize that a lot. There are lots of people around Baltic Sea who are not blonds. Goes bit like this (below). Plus in my eyes the 5th group (where blonds are the most common) it is still someway 20% +/- something. Same scale, most of European countries will have 0% - 5% of blonds.

    Baltic Sea:
1.) East coast (Russia / Saint Petersburg)
2.) South coast (North Germany, North Poland, Lithuania, Latvia)
    3.) South-West coast (Denmark)
    4.) South coast (Estonia)
5.) North coast (Norway, Sweden, Finland)

    I agree with you..
For any blonde italian there are 7- 9 blonde in Sweden..
1 to 7-9 is the ratio..
In other words blonde people in Italy are not more than 7-9 % ( and most of them are medium blonde or dark blonde very few are light blonde ).
In Sweden people with black hair are not more than 2 o 3 %.. In Italy 10 times higher..

I have never been in Italy, so can not confirm relation. But basic idea is probably true.

It seems that Finnish Swede only regards platinum blondes as blondes.

If you want to put it that way, then maybe. Here have been examples who have been called blonds and for me those have had sand brown hair. One which is brunette color for me. Still one does not need to have white/ash blond hair (like me) to be called blond. Light is enough, like man in my signature.

I have few times said that I want my own child/children will remind me and my ancestors enough. That would hardly happen if I would have kids with man average hair color in Sweden/Finland (this sand brown). Skin tone? Yes. Eye color? Yes. But hair color? Most likely not. Opposite I could do exception with red haired person. It could be interesting to see how the kids would shown up.
