Grandma and i always get higher distances, while grandpa gets rather low distances.

You're from the poreklo forum, right? Nice to see you here.
I think your grandma gets high distance because both her North_Atlantic and West_Asian components are rather low. It's probably because of the low number of SNPs that the kit contains.
Anyway, this is just more proof of the difference between southern Serbs and Bulgarians/Macedonians (the latter in particular).

For sure the kits with higher SNPs always receive lower distances. My mother's kit has the new MyHeritage chip while mine has the old FTDNA one and the difference is crystal clear.
Still ~7 isn't that high. Your results as a whole don't look odd, only the values of some particular components pull you away from the averages. Do you get smaller distances on the other calculators like Dodecad K12b or Eurogens K15?

It's normal to have +- 5 or 6 of a component compared to the average of your genetic group. You and your grandma just happen to have some components at the lower threshold, so you get high distances.
Genetic group can mean people from the same village,
Check out this example:

Many of these results also get high distances compared to the average of their village.
This effect is stronger in calcs with more components, and a lower SNP count can also increase it.
