Certainly West countries (France, UK, I could include Germany in an "extended" definition of the West) are probably the worst, but then followed by some Nordic countries. They are engaged in the same process.
I think that these "pseudo" wars between Europeans are idiot and irrelevant compared to the peril of immigration from the Third-World.

I intended Western Civilization anyway...
Greekds didn't copied philosophy, they create it. They didn't copied other people to create the most astonishing temples and statues that you could find in Antiquity. Whereas you can say that Roman Empire is a blend between several influences included Etruscans (even if they create also a lot of thing in civil ingeneering, architecture, biology etc.), the culture of Ancient Greek was highly original and distinct.
Example of ancient Greece piece of art :
Although dolphins were a common "subject" that a lot of civilization used like etruscans or near-east, you definitely can't say that they copied on Middle-East, it's fallacious and ridiculous.
Actually you remind me those historians that in the 19th century affirmed "Etruscan art is only a reproduction of greek art.".
