This is average for a region only. Overall it would not be different, but it is not homogeneous

I am thinking that Amerindians of Mexico have this particular light skin gene that is coming from their amerindian side

If you look at Afro Brazilians vs Afro Mexicans, you will see that Afro Mexicans came out more Amerindian and less European vs Afro Brazilians coming out less Amerindian and more European. Yet afro Mexicans came out lighter, so that means the Euro genes in Afro Brazilians didn't help much at all in terms of lightness
That would make sense taking in account that prime amerindians were like siberians and their bunchs of siberians that are pale with light hair. Something interesting is that this study was from Porto Alegre(Rio Grande do Sul) and even whites there seems to have the same skin tone as white colombians. Seems that only Santa Catarina could make a difference but even that place is useless to a whole conclusion since only represent 3% of Brazil population.

Yeah, the detail is that the brazilian samples comes from the south. If pardos are darker than mixed mexicans and the south have an estrict parameter about swarthiness, pardos outside there could been even darker. These about mixed mexicans.

Lighter or darker, brazilians are whiter (by a far margin)

It depends on the region, here a school (not private) in São Paulo. There are whites and browns:

Almost every Mexican I met from north to south had more or less brown skin, while plenty of Brazilians are white and even pinkish (those with nordic components). On the other hand Brazil has plenty of blacks, which Mexico don't, so in the end if you put all Brazilians in a blender Im not sure the final color would be lighter or darker than Mexico. It might be a draw.

I'm starting to think you have a bias agenda towards Mexico I've observed several post from you and this is why makes me think this way.

From Mexico city to the way south most mexicans have copper brown skin but from central -west north light brown olive and pale skin is predominant my mother for example looks like a transiationing between harniza and castiza and she is pale as Michael Jackson.
