That would make sense taking in account that prime amerindians were like siberians and their bunchs of siberians that are pale with light hair. Something interesting is that this study was from Porto Alegre(Rio Grande do Sul) and even whites there seems to have the same skin tone as white colombians. Seems that only Santa Catarina could make a difference but even that place is useless to a whole conclusion since only represent 3% of Brazil population.

Lighter or darker, brazilians are whiter (by a far margin)

Almost every Mexican I met from north to south had more or less brown skin, while plenty of Brazilians are white and even pinkish (those with nordic components). On the other hand Brazil has plenty of blacks, which Mexico don't, so in the end if you put all Brazilians in a blender Im not sure the final color would be lighter or darker than Mexico. It might be a draw.

I'm starting to think you have a bias agenda towards Mexico I've observed several post from you and this is why makes me think this way.
From Mexico city to the way south most mexicans have copper brown skin but from central -west north light brown olive and pale skin is predominant my mother for example looks like a transiationing between harniza and castiza and she is pale as Michael Jackson.
