I'm aware of that fact,as I said I pretend to keep living here.I've heard bad and good comments from brazilians about living in America(the ones who enjoy it,really love it and the ones who don't really hate living there),I know it is not a paradise.

America is not a rich country when comparing it to other first world countries. It is however, a country where if you are ambitious, can hustle and make connections you can get to the top of the food chain. It is a young and hungry country with a lot to learn. I love being a part of it despite what everyone likes to paint it as.

I disagree in regard to it not being a rich country. I think it is a rich country but the gap between the rich and the poor is large and getting larger. The USA does have a lot of opportunity.

I agree that income disparity here is increasing and a problem. I was also kind of shocked to find out that we have relatively high maternal death rate compared to other first world countries. We also rate #6 in cancer rates which is unacceptable. All that said I still love it here but I know we can do better.

Actually just a few first world countries are richer than America(Luxembourg f.e).In fact,it depends on which criteria you're using to define who's richer,I used GDP per capita, but that's a questionable method of measuring which countries are the wealthiest.Still,by most criterias America is still wealthier than most first world countries.
