I am not French, but grew there. Med is indeed a component of France, but mainly in the south and west. I don't consider someone from Nice marrying a North Italian as racial mixing, nor someone from Toulouse mixing with a Catalan.
Central, Northern and Eastern France is a different story, med wasn't an important component there, it was mostly alpine-subnordid. Therefore the arrival of those millions of South Euros in those regions was a major racial change. Nordoid regions (Normandy, Moselle, Picardy, etc.) have dramatically changed since.



I have trouble considering Med phenos as "white".
