Here I'll start, going back through my paternal lineage, my great-great-great grandpa Heinrich came to america from Westphalia. On my Father's mother's side, my great-great grandfather came from Turkey (he was Bulgarian Jewish) and his wife came from Spanish Morocco (as a Moroccan Jew) who's ancestors fled the inquisition, and their son's (my great grandfather)'s wife was descended from Lithuanian Jews who fled the Russian Pogrom.
On my mother's side my x6 great grandfather Daniel came from Donegal Ireland. My x11 great grandfather came from Wales (most likely Powys). A x10 great grandfather & grandmother came from Badden-Wuttemburg, Germany, a x11 from Midden Drenthe, Holland, a x12 from Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France, & various more from England, Wales, Scotland, and Germany

If your saying I don't think south america is "american" you should consider "american" has 2 meanings, someone from the USA (what most people mean by american) and from the new world (what american technically means). Trust me I'm a Geography nerd, I don't need a refresher course
