Yeah, that's why we good ppl around here (I think Im good, hidden sources told me, because they cannot say it in public, or I'm doomed lol) have to hide that to certain degree IRL, we cannot behave as good people, I mean as we are, even girls here doesnt like that, so we have to pretend we are "sarcasm-macho men" 24 h per day outside.

We are "eating" sarcasm, we built entire society on it here in south Croatia, we mock others daily, and when there is no one different from us to mock, we mock each others.

Tough tough growing up, but it makes you stronger to certain degree, and if I would have to change my past I wouldn't choose to grow up anywhere else but here.

Then again, I was thinking to myself many times; good nature I have as a person would be rewarded in some Northern parts, especially northern Europe, here you dont get reward for that, on the contrary, sometimes I was thinking to myself; wtf am I doing still here, THEN AGAIN I REALIZED IMPORTANT THING; if I would move ANYWHERE ELSE; North Croatia, Germany, Sweden, nevermind... I think I would slowly but surely "die" inside myself, surrounded with polite ppl all the time, means at least most of the time, OH MY GOD... it would be ok at start, but then it would be like living Hell.

I guess Im also part of this mindset I'm from, wanted or not, it is what it is.

At least here on forum I can show my good nature lol haha.

Dalmatian society can be very cruel. But that is why it produced more sucessful and world known individuals than any other part of Croatia. They aren't easy on the others but also not of themself either.

I always wondered could I live there. Probably not. I often think about Dalmatia, but.......it is hard to make transtion from gentle north to that.

I feel like people misinterpret arrogance. It doesn't mean self pride, and it's not a positive trait.

It can mean many things, in some given moment it is self-pride.

And when you have self-pride as entire community, it's like a boomerang, It's boomerang on individual or mass level, nevermind.

As a person, to be honest I never loved Pride, I consider pride as weak substitution for Intelligence.

To me Honour is everythin, it has nothin to do with pride, even though I dont behave here always in honorable fashion, I try, at least that's somethin.

While I'm going older and older I realize more and more that Honour is all I need, and about ppl around me..., what will they say? Fuck them, if they cannot recognize that as quality they're not even worthy of my time, this goes for my first neighbour etc lol.

One has to be honorable, but not naive..., be naive about ppl here where I'm from, it's like you opened your own grave and jumped into it.

God considers pride itself a sin in the bible, not to mention arrogance. But not all societies see it that way.

I think arrogance is something that makes you unable to progress, but from time to time it can be useful and positive.

It is cruel society, from childhood forward, we are thought to be tough from childhood, even in classrooms in High school you have to go trough Hell to get into Heaven.

Many of them never saw Heaven unfortunately and they were nice guys.

I remember in my classroom 3 guys from one small town near my city (Bibinje, maybe you heard about it? lol), they (Bibinje guys) are like..., Jesus fucking christ, it's like they're all made in same way.

They were beating daily one serb guy in classroom without any reason what so ever, when he wouldnt be in school, they would attack others except guys from city area; Arbanasi, the only ones who would bring Hell to them lol, so I was hanging out with Arbanasi (wise move haha), they accepted me and it was game over for Bibinje guys, till this very day Arbanasi are my favorite part of the city, I feel there like home when I go.

One time I asked Arbanasi to protect that serbian guy (because he was my friend), just once, and they did, I got a threat from Bibinje guys (in my face in front of school); "we will catch you for this sooner or later, and there wont be Arbanasi around you to protect you TRAITOR" lol.

I could go on with this till tommorow, but long story short .

I would consider arrogance result of lack of social skills, it's a childish thing, kids are very arrogant but they mature with age. Maybe in some cultures people don't drop it, i can only relate this to shy cultures like North Europe, people don't engage in much social activities. Here people learn not to be arrogant, or they are being excluded from social groups, with such experiences kids during at least in high school learn to be humble.
