Let's not scream racism at every opportunity.

If this couple was black and received a half white child, it would be no different. The fundamental issue is that they did not get what they bargained for. It is breach of contract. They had preferences that were not respected, on a decision that is MUCH more significant than buying a home or a car.

There is also a stigma associated with being a white mother to a half black child. You can say it is misplaced or racist, but it exists as surely as tax season exists.

The reasons for them being upset may in fact be due to racism, we do not know what is going on inside their minds.

Still, they did not get what they had paid for and therefore the sperm bank violated their contract and owes them compensation. EVEN IF they are racist. If you order a product and you get a different one in the mail, you are owed reimbursement.

Yes, they SHOULD just be happy they have a healthy child, but they didn't ask for just a "healthy child." They asked for a child fathered by a specific sperm donor, and didn't receive that.

VERY fucked indeed. You know..I maybe an atheist but at the same time I'm against degeneracy. There's natural or healthy about the whole thing. As they say "you can take a human being out of nature but you can't take nature out of a human being".

I'm also ideally for a family with mom and dad. However, it doesn't shock me and I think there's a high probability the child will not grow up fucked up.

The kid seem happy and her lesbian parents seem nice.

I think the risk for the kid to grow up ’fucked up’ would be greater if its parents were two gay men, but then again it always depends on the person.

The kid is happy for now because she's too young to realize the circumstances and that she was an "error".
