My philosophy on life has changed from not that long ago. Materialistic things are only sooo great. I want to be happy- meaning I want to have a good lavish income, to love (if it exists), and to experience moments that I will remember for years.

People say they want happiness. But, how do they hold onto that happiness?

Happiness and good feelings mean nothing without the experience and constant reality of the opposite.
I mostly feel quite okay, I do not end up in extreme happiness or extreme sadness/depression.
What matters is to cherish the happy moments, live in the moment and especially be aware that the time of people that make you happy is limited on this earth, for example your parents.
What is also essential is the knowledge that the key to a general good well being is a healthy body as hormones have the biggest impact on your mental health and your hormone production especially as a man is based on your physical fitness.
The philosophies you follow imho have a great impact on how you perceive the world in general, if you are a nihilist you are very likely less of a happy person compared to a follower of a faith.

Similar to mine, as well! Other than raising my kids in a healthy loving environment, and always being there for them, my main goal is to get back to the land. I've been working towards purchasing a few acres (the more the better) in a very private location. I used to have a large property (20 acres) in CA, where i farmed for 9 years, but it was in the middle of big ag, and i was tired of being poisned by their farming practices. So, i sold my land, and downsized. I am ready to get back to the land. I would like to plant fruit and nut orchards, raise ducks, and grow most of my own food again. I want half of my property to be woods that i can forage in, and go on daily walks in. That sounds like the most healthy and ideal lifestyle to me.

Never ending journey of learning and improving. Raising excellent human beings with nothing but love in their heart,
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Eph. 6:12
Definition of untrustworthy and loose character are those that don't believe in God.

There are no such things as goals to achieve in life, that make life "complete" when you are done. It is a continuous experience that only stops changing at death. You don't just stop at getting a good body, or getting married, having children, or grandkids, or becoming rich, etc. Of course there are things I would like to see secured before I die, but there is nothing in my personal life that I could say would make me feel "done" once i did it. I guess I'd like for my Dad to see me have at least one kid before he passes.
