What exactly do Mormons believe?

I remember once a couple of guys from the mormon church stopped me and handed me one of their leaflets, I didn't really think about it much and threw away the leaflet before reading it. Of course I waited to throw it until I was out of sight so they would think I actually did keep it.

Sounds a bit like Scientology but of course an older version. Most of these beliefs are indeed crazy.
