i dont think the pope defended gay relationships, he confirmed that according to catholic beliefs gay sexual activity is a sin. but he said if they "seek god who i am to judge them" and i agree, if a homosexual seeks god and tries to live christian i wouldnt judge him either because im sinner too. also the pope said gay lobbies are a problem. well i dont know about muslims and crusade but i guess the pope being a good christian seeks peace with all faiths
