But of course there's truth in what i say, latin was brought from the italian peninsula to the iberian one.

Well, being more accurate and more fair, the Latin was brought from the Latium to both Italic and Iberian peninsulas

There would be absolute truth in what you're stating, if the Latin had been the only language in the Italic peninsula, and it was not.

So, it was the Romans who spread the Latin in both peninsulas.

But Basque was developed in Spain, that is the point. You are so dumb (due your leftism) that even did not notice it (the point).
"Due to your leftism" now the vecino is angry..take the pills granny

We were speaking about Latin and you brought Basque(a non indoeuropean language) in, just because "it developed in Spain"

I'm glad you previously mentioned Catalan, that has more lexical affinity with italian than with spanish

I see your leftism still did not allow you to see the why I brought the Basque, even if it is not very hard to understand (for a normal person I mean).

Latium IS in the italian peninsula, you even posted a map

When it was brought to Iberia, Latin was already spoken in several areas of the peninsula.
Plus, Latin is an italic language like most of the ones that were spoken in the peninsula...so they were of the same family

That is does not a valid argument against my stating, and still not a valid arguement for the yours.

As said, Latin --a language whose origin was the region known as Latium-- was spread throughout the both Italic and Iberian peninsula by the Romans (and not by the Italians).

Please, a bit of respect for History. Let's be serious about real History at least.

And do you think i can be serious discussing with Viejo? I just have fun when i tease him and of course, i'm not precise and focused as i could be when discussing with someone more serious....the real and serious discussions that i have are outside this forum.

Secondly, i insist: Latium is in the italian peninsula, Latin originated there and was first brought to other parts of the peninsula(where, as you said, other languages were spoken) and then to the iberian peninsula and also other parts of Europe, Asia and Africa with the Roman conquests. Latin is an ITALIC language and originated in an area which is geographically in the centre of the italian peninsula, hence i can say that Latin is an italic thing brought to Iberia.

Indeed - he's exotic. But why you never post exotic Spaniards but only exotic Italians etc.? Do you have some inferiority complex?

For some dumb ass reason, there are still some feuds between Spanish and Italians when it comes to who looks more European, and usually more nordic. The Portuguese are also involved a lot by Italic Roots (not sure why), and it's pretty cringe overall. Basically the two sides just post cherry-picked pictures of each extreme and think those extremes are the avgs. CV seems to know it isn't and is just a massive troll, but italic roots members seem genuinely pissed. Obviously, it is only an anthrotarded forum issue. No one in real life cares about the things these people do.
