At which point do Europeans start considering a skin color to be dark?

And the guy on the very left on the second picture is too dark for European standards, while the guy in the middle has a borderline skin tone (about the darkest skinned that some southern Europeans can be, but a very minority of them, and generally accompanied with more European features).

yes, if you include all skin tones. by pure European standards, 3 is dark, 2 is medium and 1 is light/fair

Do you mean 4 is dark? I know a lot of Europeans who have number 3

No European has 4 honestly. Even the vast majority of MENAs dont. Most MENAs are 2-3 but a dit browner and less red.

So I guess by European standards, 1 is fair, 2 is medium, 3 is dark, 4 is non-European dark. By world standards (gradient from actual white to black), 1 is fair, 2 is light, 3 is medium, and 4 is dark.
