No one is trying to convince you of anything, don’t get it twisted. The fact of the matter is that the British and Irish are as a whole, the fairest-skinned people on earth, due to their physiological inability to tan, rather always burn. This should probably be attributed to their Celtic forebears. Scandinavians who can get pretty light in the late winter months in particular, still by far have the ability to tan pretty well. It is concluded that Scandinavians have slightly more epidermal melanin than the British. In terms of complexion, the British are the furthest away from Iberians or Italians or Greeks and the other Southern Europeans.

Apart from colours, i think the only group in Iberia with similar facial features to Caucasus peoples are the Basques.

I did not make the connection to skin tone. I just said Iberia is blessed with brilliant sunshine, and many other Europeans (particularly grumpy Brits) envy the shit out of it. The thread evolved from skin tones to sun, not sure how. Lel
Yeah, the effect experienced in SF occurs in some west coast facing climates. Must be the cool ocean current. Coastal areas in Namibia, southwest Australia (below Perth) and Chile have such climates with mild summers but still a lot of sun.

Do not be afraid of skin tones. The fact is that Iberians and people of the Mediterranean, in general have a healthier skin tone than Northern Europeans such as myself. Your climate is better than our gloomy one. You are right, the weather and architecture of the Mediterranean is good. This is why so many of us from the north flock to your country for holidays.

I think that pink undertones is very common in Irish and British. It is more likely when people have very fair skin and people with that type of skin are more likely to be sensitive to sunburn. My mother's family have that type skin i.e. very pale with pink undertone and when weather is cold or hot they get very pink cheeked.
Like this Irish actor who has that type of undertone.
That type of skin is common.
