They are easy to make and eat, and are loved by both children and adults.

It amounts for a lot of egg consumption if your family fries at least once a week and bakes as well, egg whites are used even more extensively in sweet foods and confectionery.
In Venetian-Brazilian cuisine it's rare to have recipes that have egg as the "main character" the only one is the fortaia, in grammatical Italian frittata, which is mixed eggs with a lot of colonial cheese (similar to asiago) and sometimes salami. Other than that all pastas have egg on them, semolina pasta is foreign to our culture. Then it's mostly on sweets and pastries.

For typical Brazilian cooking it's not rare at all to have a fried or scrambled egg though. The rice/black beans/salad/egg combination is the closest thing to a nationwide dish.

    lol

Speaking of which, I've always wondered how can brazilians contain all the farts produced by the beans they eat 24/7

When I was in Brazil I had beans max. three times a week. Other than that we'd have plain rice with meat, risotto, polenta when mom had time, and in the winter tortellini al brodo (we actually call it sopa de agnoline, but it's the exact same thing). We never had pasta because my father claims it's bad for his liver.

I have no idea how we deal with the farts though. I think that having coffee right after lunch helps out with the digestion.

Anyways, normal beans don't feel that heavy to me. The stuff that hits people hard is the feijoada, I've never eaten it so I don't know, but it has a fame to the point that we say a football player ate feijoada when he's not running.

    Eggs in all forms.

Fried in olive oil with fried potatoes and chorizo, few things can beat them.

Raw beaten in white wine with cane sugar, a slice of lemon peel and a cinnamon stick, ideal to start the morning.
