DNA.Land started almost four years ago as a small academic research project and has grown to over 150,000 members. During the course of the study, DNA.Land served participants from all over the world, published an academic paper, and created unique data assets to fight breast cancer.

As you may know, DNA.Land was created and run by geneticists from Columbia University and the New York Genome Center. However, as of September 30, 2019, DNA.Land will no longer be part of or operated by researchers from Columbia University and the New York Genome Center and will no longer be under the oversight of BRANY IRB. DNA.Land is closing as an academic research project.

When you signed up to participate in DNA.Land, the DNA.Land team pledged to not share your personal identifiers, contact information, individual-level survey, or individual level genetic information with third parties without your explicit permission. Because the research study is closing and the re-launched DNA.Land website will not be affiliated with Columbia University or the New York Genome Center, your existing data will not be shared with the new site. Thus, your account and data will be deleted and will no longer be accessible as of September 29, 2019.

DNA Land did a pretty good job of capturing my Native ancestry.
(I am predominately African-American with one confirmed family line of Native ancestry via traditional genealogy)

My NA calculation here is obviously split between "Central Asian" and "Native".

I guess new, commercial version will be similar to Geneplaza...
