Would people enjoy reading another one of these, but about France this time?

    Stop the self-hating. Britain & France >>>>>>

I like Germany too but not nearly as much. Only Italy competes with Britain and France in terms of prestige and achievements. Greece and its cultural region was great until the end of the Byzantine times. So that leaves the UK and France, followed by Italy.

Jackson: When talking about the history of a country, you should also discuss what happened prior to the creation of that country to put things into context.

Philo: It's not a serious representation of English/British history. It's just humour.

    Too much personal bias.
Jackson maybe you should do a blog post " Abrief history of England and Britain?"

Well then it is incorrect. Boudicca knew nothing about England. She should be included in a history about Britain, along with English history, but people often seem to make inaccurate judgements like that. Either of lack of knowledge or lack of respect for historical fact. I'm not accusing you of the first because you've taken time to write this article, and it is enjoyable to read. I always get aggravated reading things like that, and couldn't prevent myself from writing a comment.

The history of a country doesn't begin with the official creation of that country. Boudica, for example, is discussed in history books about the history of England, Great Britain or the United kingdom before any of those existed.

I know, so am i. Roman invasion never happened in the history of England.

I was talking about the history of England.
  13. Jackson's Avatar
Indeed, but England was never invaded by the Romans. Britain was, as a geographical entity.

England=piece of Great Britain known today as "England".
  15. Jackson's Avatar
Good good. But England was never invaded by the Roman Empire.

It's hard to find an English example that makes it obvious. If you know of any examples that do this I'll be happy to put them in.

I don't think people would notice a difference between Chalk and Church.

This is amazingly hilarious, though plainly offensive. Well-written.
