There's not much evidence of Viking settlement in NE Scotland. The only area of the Scottish 'mainland' to bear the brunt of Viking settlement was Caithness.

She just looks like a generic blonde lady to me. Brigitte Nielsen on the other hand (talking of Nielsens)...

It's probably just a general vibe you are referring to but would it be possible if you could elaborate on this 'uncanny' aspect?
I thought you told me that you found Danes were too (on average) harsh-looking, more-so than northern Germans. It's the fact that you highlighted how the two groups were not even comparable (Danes...
Scandinavian beauty is a different kettle of fish to Slavic beauty, but yet one usually ascribes to both a triple whammy of blue eyes, blonde hair and high cheekbones. Do Danish/Swedish women...
You find Danes too harsh-looking?
Sorry, I know this almost sounds like a repeat of my other thread, but I was re-watching Borgen the other day and it did strike me how well Danes do on the front of facial aesthetics, even though...
Would anyone else care to divulge on this 'apparent' Dutch beauty? I will reiterate, she is very pretty, but she looks pretty masculine in certain pics.
I think she is 7.5/10.
No, I agree. I have seen loads of Germans give off an 'Englishy' vibe. Swedes are far, far more distinctive. Goes to show how heterogeneous the Germanic countries are.
His actual phenotype isn't so much rare but when you really hone in on his facial features, no he does 'nae' pass as English.
6'6" tall Scottish actor. Passes flawlessly as Welsh. Does NOT pass as English, IMHO. Completely impassable in fact. He is a fine example of that underrated Scottish/Welsh phenotypical overlap...
Alpine/Alpine-Med types. Dijk looks Irish.
TF? That's a wee bit harsh.... In your mind, if Swedish women are on average 'fugly' then god forbid what the average English/German woman looks like.
But there are plenty of narrow-faced Hallstatt types in Denmark.
Are Dutchies really, really late bloomers or something? I thought the average height of a young Frisian was 186 cm? Eitherway, I have met quite a few short Dutchies in my life. They do exist!
I appreciate the heads up about Coen:thumb001:. However, Goudsmit definitely passes as English. That is something I have noticed, whilst a great swathe of the ethnic Dutch population don't pass...
We still don't know the results from the 2022 Census in Scotland, but I think the 'diversity' scales might well be tipped in Scotland's favour. Since the early-2010s, Mohammed has topped the list as...
This is an overhang of my recent trip to Scotland, whereby I found that 50% of the Scots I would see either passed well as English (whilst looking a bit more robust) or just looked uniquely...
The Netherlands is a predominantly Nordid country, with a large Borreby minority, but you are phrasing like it Dutchies are synomyous with said phenotype. I do admit whilst most Dutch generally have...
Really?! You would say the Netherlands beats Norway? Is that because Norwegians often have coarser features?
This lady looks stupendously Dutch

Benny Sings (Tim van Berkestijn) also has a VERY Dutch face

I really don't understand it. Surely it's just that the eastern Scottish (in a NW European context) don't overlap that much with the Irish. I don't why they would be closer to the English, though. It...
I would be inclined to say that Hauer has/had a rather pan-Germanic look, but there is something rather Dutch about his mouth area.
Personally I always thought Mark Rutte has a very pan-German/Dutch look. He would pass flawlessly in any part of Germany, IMHO.
He actually looks rather ‘Scottish’ to me, if there is such a thing as a distinctive ‘Scottish’ face. Yeah, this guy would not pass as German, let alone as northern German.
