Bosnians never had any Serbian consciousnesses, to begin with. For most part of their history, Bosnians had a quite distinct identity. They perceived themselves apart from the rest of their neighbors, yet their language was similar to Serbian and Croatian. What matters the most is the very fact that when Bosnian kingdom came to fore, they appeared as Bosnians and not as Serbs or Croats. Their distinct identity was somehow fostered by the very fact that Bosnians embraced a kind of religion which differed largely from Orthodoxy and Catholicism. Though its exact origin has never been defined satisfactorily, Bogomilism was adopted by most of Bosnians, implying they were distinct from their neighbors. The "Serbian" identity was resurrected on Bosnians very recently indeed. In fact, most of Slavs who were members of Serbian Church were called indiscriminately 'Serbs' (as was the case with orthodox Albanians) regardless their ethnicity. 'Serb' was a religious label rather than ethnic one. And your assumption that Bosnians have Serbian roots has no ground to stand on. You are ill-informed, I guess, since you overcome the very fact that the majority of 'Serbs' in Bosnia are Vlachs. You are in dire need of Malcolm's book 'Bosnia- a short history'!

Because he ain't popular in Serbia, this does not tarnish his reputation of being an outstanding scholar who has authored the most balanced books about Bosnia & Kosova ever written. I really do not want to hear the perception of Serbs on him. If you have anything of value to counter his claim, please feel free to do so. Otherwise spare us from your run-of-the-mill mindless drivel. Ok?

most of bosniaks who settled eastern bosnia have serb origins, and those in north western croat origins, they moved to bosnia because they refused to convert to christianity, basically bosnia is the land where slavic muslim converts gathered...the "genetical bosniaks" are from the center of bosnia. now we're building our nation and someone might find it funny, but the time is on our hand and the fact that someone don't call us turks, balije, mohammedan but serb is proof that the game is over for them and they can't find anything to remove bosnia.
