Default Where does the sharpest change in average phenotype occur - the Black Sea or the Mediterranean Sea?

A sequel to my other new thread. In other words, which gap in average phenotype is greater: Eastern Europe versus Turkey and the Caucasus, or Southern Europe versus North Africa and the Levant?

    Southern Europe to North Africa.

The Caucasus/Anatolia and Eastern/Southeastern Europe is a continuum.. some North Caucasians have a Slavic influenced look, as do some Black Sea Turks, Pontic Greeks, etc. and conversely, many Balkan peoples especially Greeks, Albanians, and Bulgarians but to a lesser extent the rest of southeastern Europe, has a clear Anatolian influence. However, some Turks and Caucasians would stand out in the Balkans, and vice versa.

The same could be said of the continuum between southern Italians, Maltese, Cypriots, and the Levant.. it's a gradient. There are some people on the European side too European to pass in the Levant, and some on the Levantine side with too much Arabid influence to pass in the Mediterranean.. but it's a continuum.

I think the greatest change is Southern Europe to North Africa. It may not have always been this way, but due to the strong SubSaharan influence in North Africa, from Morocco to Egypt, the average North African differs from the average Iberian more than the average Balkanian from the average Anatolian, or the average Mediterranean islander from the average Levantine.

They all have sharp phenotypical changes.

But I think Southern Europe-North Africa (North Med VS South Med) is the sharpest change.

SSA influence is strong in southern parts of North Africa (Morocco to Egypt). Egyptians fit much better in Morocco than Greece, Italy, or even Cyprus.
